This tour was amazing! Eduardo and his family were so nice, to the point we felt family. We did the farm tour as well as the cooking class and it did not disappoint! Eduardo was extremely knowledgeable about not only the plants but the science behind roasting. Yes it's an all day process but after cooking and the tour... time flew by so quick! Highly recommend!

We had a really great time at the coffee tour with Juan Carlos as our host and Angela as our interpreter.
We started with a tour of the coffee fields and then went back to Juan Carlos' home to grind and roast our own beans. We finished off tasting the coffee and had some lovely home made sweet bread. Would really reccommend taking this tour when you are in Guatemala!

I had such an amazing time with Mercedes (coffee farmer) and his family on the coffee tour. I highly recommend if you want an authentic experience of the local farmers. He was informative and showed us the process from start to finish. I’d highly recommend to anyone, as it was a highlight of my trip in Antigua!

Our coffee tour with Manuel and Angela was definitely a highlight of our time in Antigua! We learned so much, had a fun time, and drank delicious coffee. Manuel and his wife, Rosy, were so friendly and had such a lovely home that they were kind enough to invite us into. I love the ethos of DLG and their commitment to creating equitable opportunity for these local farmers, versus some of the more corporate-esque coffee farms and tours in the area. I’m looking forward to drinking the coffee we got on the tour and signing up for the coffee subscription. Truly, this may have ruined all other coffee for me because it was that good.

I recently visited a local coffee farmer and his wife just outside of Antigua. They included an interpreter which was very helpful since I don’t speak very much Spanish. The tour was very informative and I enjoyed seeing the coffee fields and learning all about the way in which the coffee is grown including the challenges these farmers face. Later I was invited back to their lovely home for a wonderful lunch and the farmer’s wife showed me how to roast and grind the beans. I felt that I not only learned much about the coffee process, but a glimpse inside their world. Such warm and inviting people. It was a joy to spend the afternoon with them. And, yes, I bought a ton of coffee! It’s delicious!

Amazing coffee tour and so much more! We had such a great time learning about how coffee is made and sold. Some highlights were learning directly from the farmer, Ingrid, roasting coffee in her home and grinding coffee with a 35 year old lava rock. I highly recommend their tour for anyone that loves coffee.

We join a cooking class at a local’s home and it was the best immersive experience to learn about the local food and culture. The whole experience was very well organized. Rosy the host and teacher was very warm and welcoming. We learned how to make traditional Pepian chicken, rice, tortillas and mole with sweet plantain for desert from scratch in her wood fire stove. Everything was super delicious and fun to make. Angela the interpreter was essential and did a great job translating and share her experience with us. We highly recommend this experience! The coffee from Rosy’s husband micro farm was so delicious! Do pick up some high quality coffee from them when visiting Antigua.
Thank you again Rosy and Angela sharing your world with us- Chia & Yiming.
