I have been a member of the NYU Federal Credit Union since I was a student at NYU. Over the years processes have changed, the system has changed, staff has changed, but I can attest that the level of customer care remained the same or has gotten better. Very helpful, patient and solutions-oriented staff. Always pleased with the outcome of my enquiries. Thanks for all you do to help us navigate financial situations.

I went with my mom to the Mineola office and the staff were nice, professional and accomodating. My mom had been a member for almost 20 years and never had any problem with them.

Do you love being on hold? Enjoy calling the one branch, being put on hold for 10 minutes, then have an automated voice tell you there are no agents available. Do you love having a serious banking issue and no-one calling you back for days? Then this is the credit union for you. I have been a part of many credit unions. This is the worst. I hate it here.

I have walked by the NYU FCU for years (it's in the building where my office is) and recently was trying to find a home equity line of credit and absolutely no banks seemed to offer this anymore, even though we own a house with equity in it. I took a chance and walked into the credit union one day and lo and behold, it was so easy to open an account & then to get a HELOC. Literally couldn't find it anyplace else. It is amazing for us to be able to pay off some debt accumulated mainly due to medical emergencies over the last two years. We have only gratitude for Marianne who was/is amazing to work with and really everyone that we've encountered.

I am an NYU employee/professor and I wish I had never joined this credit union. Honestly, if you can join any other credit union or USAA do that instead. They are heartless, the office runs poorly, and everything takes forever to process. Their online interfaces are complete garbage. They have also recently ruined my credit by reporting me for late credit card payments and shutting down my account without even letting me know. They say they want to help you with your mortgage, they don't. When I bought my apartment, I tried to go through them for my mortgage, but their rates were not even remotely competitive. They say they want to help you get out of debt, but they don't. They say they want to help you buy a car, they don't. Every single experience I have had there is horrible. Every time you have a question about something they've done wrong, they have to take it to their CEO, and that usually takes a month. Why does a credit union have to run everything by a CEO. The in person office is even worse than the interface. No one can help you. Everything takes an hour. Don't join. Trust me. They ruin lives.

The NYU FCU is a trustworthy, dependable and professional financial organization. I joined in 2008 with auto-deduction from my payroll. It is convenient and I forget that a percentage of my salary is in a savings account. When I need to withdraw we have options: ATMs, checks or cash at the teller's desk, in my case in the Broadway street's office. I have peace of mind knowing that no crash in the market could wipe out my hard earned money! My money is safe at the NYU Federal Credit Union. I give you five stars, FCU deserves it! Thank you so much!

The staff @ Nyufcu in Mineola are amazing -So helpful. I’ve had interactions with the staff at the city Branch. What I can say is that they all put their members concerns first. I love it here !!

I am very pleased with the overall services that the credit union provides. I went there last year to obtain a loan and was approved within 48 hours and was able to meet one-on-one with staff to discuss the terms. The credit union definitely feels very membership oriented/driven. In addition, I am very pleased with the new website!
