I have been with Patelco for 3 years now and have been a great customer. Never been late with the payments and paid off my Lexus when I refinanced from them.
Simply speaking, I have an excellent history with them. I was happy until this RUDE, RACIST and DISRESPECTFUL front receptionist clerk from Concord Location branch, acted as If I was a nobody!!!! He acted as if I was not worth it, and I was a waste of time when I came in the bank!!! I didn’t get his name; I hope I did.
Patelco kept sending emails about a pre-qualified / pre-approved $amount auto loan. Now, I was thinking of buying a new car and thought about this offer from Patelco.
I decided to come visit the bank to hopefully talk to a nice and professional agent regarding my auto loan. There were only 20 minutes left before they closed. The guy said that he won’t be able to complete my application in 20 minutes. If I come back tomorrow, he can do it, otherwise I can do it online. He said it’ll be the same thing.
I did the online application and got denied because I asked for more than what I was pre-approved/pre-qualified. I felt that if I did the application in the bank with the assistance of a banker, they would be able to do something about it or would give a suggestion on how to make it work. The online application doesn’t have any option.
Two days later, I decided to go to the bank and met this DISRECTPECTFUL guy that gave me a negative vibe right away when I stepped in. He didn’t believe that I was pre-qualified or even pre-approved. He said they don’t have this kind of offer.
I did not argue with him. I just sat there and waited for a financial adviser. There was another guy that came out and listened to our conversation and later just walked away.
I showed the front clerk guy proof that I received an email about the offer! He made me feel that I was LYING and wanted to take advantage.
The guy that walked away, called my attention, and said that he can help me out. I went to his office and asked for my IDs and if I am a member.
I asked why my auto loan was denied, and he said he’ll check it out for me but in the meantime, he wanted and prepared a NEW AUTO LOAN APPLICATION. I refused the second auto loan application because I don’t see the sense of doing it again since my first application was declined for some reason.
I asked him simply before I left. If they can reinstate the first application where I can just get a lower amount and I’ll pay the rest of the amount myself. He told me that he’ll call personally. I didn’t receive any call, message, or text. AS EXPECTED, which I felt when I left.
I felt that I was mistreated and discriminated every time I went there. I didn’t feel like I was a member. I am a very simple person. I don’t wear fancy clothes. It seemed like I was judged by the way I dressed and looked!!!!
My auto loan approval though got denied was something that didn’t make me disappointed because I understood BUT NOT THE WAY THESE EMPLOYEES MADE ME FEEL.
In my mind, I wanted to build an excellent credit history, but I was very disappointed.
I don’t usually write a review and just move on due to my hectic schedule but this time, I cannot just let it go.
I went there many times and not a single time I felt that someone was willing to help.
I just recently bought another Lexus and is financed through them. I will fully pay this car at the end of this year. After all these humiliating experiences, I will close my account and will never be proud that I was a member for a very short period.
To the managers and owners, please take the time to read this review. Hopefully, someone will take this matter seriously in the future. Reprimand those employees who don’t care about the company, their members and customer service!
