Be prepared for a very Eastern European way of customer service (aka rude and condescending.) But rates are good and they’re good travel card services if you’re traveling overseas.

Never understood the attitude from some staff here. Though the tellers are very nice. But if you ever need any help with your account be prepared to have them talk down to you.

Nobody answers the phone during business hours; customer service representatives are not only rude - they are brain-dead; they deposited my check to a wrong account; they do not return calls; most of them do not speak English.
I called to reset my password. It took me 40 minutes to get through. The temp password they gave me did not work. I tried twice and informed the rep that it did not go through. She asked me to log out -?! I told her that I could not log out since I was not logged in. ...she did not get it. I had to explain it again...But she kept asking me to log out. Then she told me that she was trying to help, but I was not coming along... I kept calm (it was not easy!) I nicely asked her for a new (valid) temp password. She suggested that I have to watch my attitude and hanged up on me. I still do not have access to my account.

Tried to open account and never opened. They received my application and notarized copy of all documents. After a week I called to credit union and asked them about the status of my application, BTW to reach anyone from Member Service is not possible and nobody will call you back, and received the answer " The application is not completed correctly". I asked for new application and told the person from Member Service to hold all other documentation and attached them to the new application. Call again, before mail the application and they told me that all documentation has been shredded and I have to do everything again. Nobody even try to contact me before that. Stay away from them because they are very unprofessional.

Thay have literally the best rates. Personal approach. You become not client only but member of the Selfreliance with all benefits attached ( voting, sharing proceeds-better interest rates ,etc) They’re very open and welcoming. Have had 2 house mortgages with them. Many ATMs around me ( Costco for example) serving free their debit/ATM cards. I know I don’t even use fraction of their benefits. They speak Ukrainian, Polish, Russian if needed . Highly recommend
